Charles McTaggart, 35, 626 S. Fifth St., manager ofthe Martinton
Elevator, was found dead in the garage at his home about 11 a

m. Sunday April
13, 1980. Phyllis Jameson, Iroquois County coroner, said an inquest is
pending. Although toxicology reports are incomplete, she said his death
appears to have been an accident and caused by carbon monoxide poisoning.
Mr. McTaggart was born Nov. 4, 1944, in Martinton to Mr. and Mrs. LJ
.
McTaggart. Survivors include the parents of Watseka; sisters,
Virginia Carr of
San Jose, CA, Jane McTaggart of Minneapolis, Mary Walsh ofSt
.
Charles,
MO, Teresa McTaggart of Manchester, MO, Margaret Feller of Piper City,
Diane McTaggart of Belleville and Carol McTaggart of Watseka and brothers,
William ofBreeze,IL, James of Atlanta, Larry of La Hogue, Dennis of
Champaign and Paul, Terry, Pat and Richard all of Watseka. He was part
owner and manager of Martinton Grain Co
.
and part owner of the Pittwood
Grain Co. Mr. McTaggart was a member of
st. Edmunds Catholic Church of
Watseka
, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev
.
John Novak will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation

will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, where the rosary will

be recited at 8 p.m. today.
