It breaks my heart to see this empty space for Stanley Sears.  I feel badly that I really didn't know Stan very well and ashamed that I didn't take the time to get to know him, even just as another human being.  In that self-centered hurtful way teen-age girls seem to beam to all but their chosen boyfriends, I think I ignored Stanley's attempts to get to know me.  He was always quietly shy, unassuming, sweet natured. Any number of times he tried to ask me out, but I was uncooperative and didn't want to hurt his feelings.  Stanley, I do remember you, and want to know more about you.  I know it is too late, but surely someone knows.  My 91 year old mother told me she thought you were a janitor somewhere in Watseka, but that was 10 years ago.  I sincerely hope you had a rich life and a wonderful family, because you certainly deserved it, gentle soul.
